Meet Me By The Dial

August 30, 2005

The Base of the Dial

Standing proudly at the junction of Broadway and Queen Streets — the two busiest streets in Arima — is the Dial. It is easily the most famous, most recognisable landmark in all of Arima, and has been for over 100 years.

This late evening photo really brings the sculpture at the base of the dial to life.

And just what is the Dial, you ask?

Stay dialed in [har har har] and you'll soon find out.

The dial looks beautiful in this shot. From my earliest memories, the Dial never carried the correct time. :)
