Las Cuevas

Just about 15 minutes drive beyond Maracas Bay there's another lovely North Coast bay — Las Cuevas, so named for the caves that dot the cliffs bordering the beach.

As you can see from the photo, Las Cuevas is quite a long bay, ideal for those quiet romantic strolls. It's also rarely as crowded as Maracas so if you prefer a bit more solitude this may be the beach for you. Of course, on the downside, there's no bake and shark here. But a quick pit stop at Maracas can easily remedy that.
